A big thank you to all behind Reliance High-Tech’s success
December 12, 2024 by Alistair Enser
As we approach our year-end in March and another record result, I wanted to use my blog this week to say a big thanks to all our customers, suppliers and associates for recognising a true partner in Reliance High-Tech. Our order book has never been so healthy, and it’s great to see our vision for how technology can transform businesses shared by so many customers.
I especially want to thank the Reliance High-Tech and Reliance Protect teams, who not only support our customers but who have been instrumental in achieving the many accreditations, awards and standards that make our business one that our customers can rely on.
In fact, it’s been a busy few months for accreditations… For example, we recently submitted our NHS Digital Toolkit Assessment and learned last week that we don’t just meet the standards that the NHS require (as we did last year), but actually, exceed them!
This is a publicly visible register that lists tens of thousands of NHS sites, departments, companies, groups, partners and suppliers. The number of those listed as ‘Exceeding standards’ is definitely in the minority. If you want to look us up, our reference number is 8JV24.
This comes on top of our appointment to the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) framework (RM6257), ‘Security Physical and Support Services’. The new framework went live in November last year and, as an existing approved and vetted supplier on CCS, Reliance High-Tech is re-qualified to provide Electronic Security and Lone Worker Protection Services – including design, installation, maintenance and monitoring to any public sector entity wishing to use this framework.
Not only that, but following a massive effort by the team, we recently upgraded our Cyber Essentials to Cyber Essentials Plus certification. This certification is hugely important because while some security providers have this standard or ISO 27001 (information security), there are few that have both. It’s even rarer for providers to also meet the requirements of ISO 22301 (business continuity) as Reliance High-Tech does! We had our surveillance audit by BSI in January this year for our certification to ISO 22301:2019, and we successfully passed the audit with no findings identified.
In what was a very busy month, we also had an audit by NSI in January. This addressed the standards of PD 6662 – Intruder and Hold-up Alarm Systems; NSI NCP 104 – Video Surveillance Systems (CCTV); NSI NCP 109 – Access Control Systems; and BS 7858:2012 – Screening of Individuals.
Finally, in January this year, we were also audited by Achilles for the B2 UVDB audit, which included a review of our systems and a site covering the disciplines of Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility. Against each of these disciplines, we scored the maximum 100%!
We don’t put the massive effort into securing these accreditations for our own vanity: we do so because the rigorous processes these standards require us to follow, and the investment in our own skills they demand, make Reliance High-Tech a better business. This, in turn, allows us to provide the best possible service to our customers.
So if you would like to have a conversation with Reliance High-Tec about how we can help your organisation, please contact me personally, and I will connect you with the right people in our business. And if you would like to join our award-winning team, then send us a message. We continually want to strengthen the talent we have, to build the best team in the industry and share our success.
Thank you, everyone.
