On 15th July, Reliance welcomed some of the brightest minds and most forward-thinking innovators in cloud security to Farringdon, London for Clash of the Clouds 2025 – a one-day event exploring how cloud, AI, and analytics are shaping the future of security.
From insightful speaker sessions to hands-on technology demos, the day delivered practical intelligence, meaningful conversations, and powerful networking for a full house of security professionals, consultants, and decision-makers.
A Clear Vision for Cloud-First Security
The event opened with a keynote from Andy Schofield, CTO at Reliance, who addressed the myths and misconceptions surrounding cloud adoption in physical security. His talk set the tone for a day centred on clarity, innovation, and collaboration – positioning cloud as a strategic enabler of AI-driven, intelligent operations rather than just a technology shift.
Attendees heard from a range of expert voices throughout the day. Two standout panel discussions tackled the practical realities of cloud transformation, featuring views from consultants, end-users, manufacturers, and standards bodies. Narinder Dio of Cornerstone shared valuable insights from a consultant’s perspective, while Steve Thornburn of Aviva Group offered the end-user viewpoint. Paddy Kyle of the BSIA addressed the evolving regulatory environment and the need for standards to keep pace with innovation.
Phil Bracewell from Royal Sun Alliance also shared a compelling case study, offering a first-hand account of their own cloud transformation – including key lessons, benefits realised, and considerations for others on a similar path.
This robust programme of thought leadership, complemented by vendor-led sessions on automation, lifecycle management, and risk evolution post-migration, helped establish the event as a defining moment in the cloud-first security conversation.

The exhibition space buzzed with activity as 15 leading vendors showcased cutting-edge cloud and AI-powered solutions. From access control and video surveillance to workspace management and IoT integration, attendees had the chance to engage directly with the technologies reshaping the security landscape.
