James Smith, Sales & Marketing Director at Reliance High-Tech, asks the firm’s CEO, Alastair Enser, about the recent move into new headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire.
JS: Ali, can you go into the reasons for the move to a new head office?
AE: Moving into offices with double the space we had previously gives us room to expand the business further without any restrictions. The office in Bracknell offers more space to meet with customers who visit from across the UK and provides a base for Reliance High-Tech’s support staff, sales, marketing, administrative and financial functions. The comfortable and flexible space will meet the needs of everyone, from the firm’s latest intake of apprentices to the entire executive team.
JS: What can customers expect to see in the new offices?
AE: The larger premises provide an opportunity to showcase more of Reliance High-Tech’s innovative technology in a dedicated customer experience facility, which will highlight how customers can take advantage of the latest technology – including cloud-based solutions – to protect their people, assets, and reputations.
JS: Tell me more about this customer experience centre.
AE: As independent, brand-agnostic experts, we advise customers on the technology that will help them as they make the journey from separate, on-premise systems to integrated hybrid and cloud-based solutions, for example, and they will be able to see these technologies in action at our customer experience centre. Much more than a demonstration room, the facility will show customers how to leverage this transformative technology and will equip them with the knowledge required to implement it across their organisations.
JS: Does the move represent an opportunity for the business to ‘walk the walk’ and deploy the same technology, also?
AE: Absolutely! Reliance High-Tech works with carefully chosen technology partners to help customers gain value beyond security by delivering greater operational efficiencies beyond security alone, and the new demonstration facilities will give visitors the opportunity to see these first hand. In fact, many of these same technologies will form part of the fabric of the building, delivering operational value and business efficiencies to our own business. It will very much be about demonstrating the ‘art of the possible.’
JS: Why did Reliance High-Tech choose Bracknell as the site of its headquarters?
AE: Reliance High-Tech has been headquartered in the Bracknell area for much of its 40-year history, and we chose Bracknell because of its proximity to other technology companies, its road and rail links, and the talents and skills of those living in the area. The £2m investment in the local area demonstrates the company’s commitment to the town as a great place to do business. That said, Reliance High-Tech very much remains national in its footprint and outlook, and we continue to operate other offices and facilities in Manchester, Pontefract and Glasgow.
JS: When can customers expect to visit the new offices?
AE: We are already in and unpacked! The customer experience centre is in the process of being installed and should be up and running soon. We will be holding a grand opening in the near future, and we look forward to inviting guests to see the new facilities as soon as everything is in place!
The new office address is: Reliance High-Tech Ltd, 6 The Enterprise Centre, Easthampstead Road, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1NF.
