Chief Executive Officer Raises Money for the Royal British Legion In ‘Extreme Event’

October 8, 2024

On Saturday 9th November our Chief Executive Officer, Ali Enser joined several people from his local running club Bracknell AC to raise money for the Royal British Legion, Remembrance Day commemoration.

The Poppy Half marathon is an annual event organised in Bexhill on Sea, consisting of either a 5k run, a 10k run or a half marathon.

This year a number of athletes from Bracknell ran in one of the races, however, Ali and 2 other fellow athletes decided to enter the ‘Extreme team’ event which requires all 3 team members to run all three races one after the other.

Commenting after the race, Ali said “it was great fun, but it is fair to say my legs have definitely gone ‘blunt’! The distance wasn’t really an issue, but racing 3 events, along a sea front in winter with a 30-minute gap in-between, during which you cool down and stiffen up is certainly a challenge. At Reliance High-Tech and in the wider security industry we have a close association with current and ex-military personnel, and it is always rewarding to give something back”.
